Day on the hill

Today was exciting, stimulating and exhausting... I went to the capitol and talked with three different assemblymen and 2 senators representatives.....( although I did meet Noreen Evans and Pat Wiggins in person) regarding the 10 percent medi-cal budget cuts..

I learned a lot and had total studdering stage fright when it was my turn to talk.. I defered it to the next speaker because I felt like I couldn't form one single word...never mind put it in a sentence...

but I continued to get better and I braved the next four. I certainly couldn't have been as bad as this one lady... Iwill call her tweety... who came in with a mini skirt , no nylons and velvet shoes...telling them to tax wine and cigarettes... duh..... federal level sweetheart! she was a piece of work...

anyhow... I am not a political girl... however, the process was interesting and next year I will be better prepared, more solid, and certainly not tongue tied....

Who knew you had a little political streak in ya? Thats awesome! You can read all about the process in book or online but you lived it today, not many people can say that.

They really should tax velvet shoes!
